Rocky Mountain National Park is such a gorgeous destination for hiking, wildlife viewing and generally exploring. Since it is a highly trafficked National Park, there are tons of places to stay nearby. You should book a few months in advance if you plan on staying in Estes Park but there are plenty of Airbnb options a little further from Rocky Mountain National Park. When I visited the park, we actually stayed in Longmont, CO. I gathered a few more cabins and other cozy places to stay while visiting Rocky Mountain National Park.

Just ten minutes from the Rocky Mountain National Park entrance, this cozy cabin is an ideal place to rest after a busy day of hiking. This Airbnb is also conveniently located walking distance from Estes Park businesses. I am in love with the rustic decor and details throughout the cabin. There is one bedroom plus two convertible ottomans for up to four guests. You get a full kitchen, fireplace and deck with a grill to use during your stay. Plus, a hot tub with mountain views? It does not get better than that.
Cozy Studio Suite

This studio guest suite is perfect for a romantic getaway to Rocky Mountain National Park. The studio suite has its own private entrance on the host’s property. There are some great amenities for a comfortable stay, such as a kitchenette, Wifi access, local coffee samples and a short walk to downtown Estes Park. This little suite is spacious and the decor is themed to the mountains without being over the top. Your stay is sure to be peaceful with access to a shaded private deck and hammock in the summertime.
Bunkhouse at Old Man Mountain

This cabin is designed for one or two guests as it is a cozy 380 square feet. It is one of three units that are family owned and operated so you still get the homey feeling of a typical Airbnb. What this cabin lacks in space, it makes up for in amenities. The bunkhouse is complete with kitchen appliances, an outdoor grill, summer patio and views of Old Man Mountain. The bunkhouse is just 3 miles from Rocky Mountain National Park but the boulders and pines on the property make it feel like you are already in the park.
Wild Winds Cabin

This unique airstream was converted into a house to create an amazing Airbnb. It is complete with several different sleeping options, including two bedrooms and a convertible “bean bag”. This house is on the west side of the continental divide, roughly fifteen minutes from the Grand Lake entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. You will also be close to Lake Granby and other natural attractions. The decor in this Airbnb is absolutely gorgeous. There is a full kitchen complete with utensils and cookware. Another fun feature is the fire pit outside to roast s’mores and enjoy the mountain air.
Urban Chic Carriage House

This is the Airbnb my boyfriend and I booked for our trip to Rocky Mountain National Park and we adored it. The carriage house is equipped with all the amenities you get when you stay at a hotel but feels much more cozy. You have a private entrance to the apartment above the garage. It is about 45 minutes from the park but the drive is scenic up into the mountains. This unit features a full kitchen with a breakfast bar. The neighborhood is so unique and we took an evening walk to see all the different color schemes and home designs.
Little Red Treehouse

One of the things I love about Airbnb is that you can find really cool and unique places to stay, like this treehouse. This adorable treetop stay is ideal for a couple and there has even been an engagement on the deck! The building is separate from the host’s home, so you have private access. There is also a swing, picnic area and pergola on the property. Inside the treehouse, you will find a full size pull down bed for guests and a loft that sleeps one above the kitchen for solo travelers.
Rocky Mountain National Park is a great destination for any traveler looking to enjoy nature. There's so many places to stay near the park that embrace the mountain lifestyle. These Airbnbs all offer the homey feel and privacy that hotels often lack. You'll have access to some cooking equipment and space to enjoy your stay!
